Help with a faulty NES2 (Top loader)

So I was adding this expansion audio mod to my top loader (using this: viewtopic.php?t=7880) which I've done successfully in the past to my other top loader. However after soldering the resistor from audio out to the cart connector pin, my NES2 was still able to play games, had sound, but the graphics were all garbled. So I removed everything I had done and now I get this even when there is no cart in the system, I also get this same garble if there is a cart but I'll get different patterns or colors and there is no longer any sound:

Here are some closeup's of the bottom of the pcb:

I checked this area out, and found these two were bridged but not sure if they were supposed to be, I 'unbridged' them and I still have the exact same issue, I'm unsure if these two pins are supposed to be connected however:

I'm no hardware engineer, but I'm decent with a soldering iron and have done several modchips on other consoles, assembled projects with arduino's, and can basically follow a schematic but I have no idea what happened here. I wasn't anywhere near the CPU or PPU and I really thing this is something stupid like a trace being shorted or opened but I can't seem to find anything and I'm really not exactly sure where I should be looking. I'm hoping the expert help here may have a clue and can hopefully point me in the right direction with some helpful advice.

Thanks.

That bridge is supposed to be there, it's composite video input in to the rf modulator.
Other than checking traces, i'd say a chip got zapped.

Got a screenshot of the garbling? It might point to the cause.

The youtube link in my 1st post has exactly what happens when I power it on and off without a cart. Unless you're talking about something else?

Nevermind, I somehow overlooked the Youtube link.

I take it you have no clue either then =/.

Disconnect the ROM<->CPU bus in some manner, or CPU Vcc and see if it does the same thing: 2a03 may be fried.

Same thing occurs when I lifted pin 40 on the CPU.

Maybe check if the 2A03's VCC is at 5V. If it is pulling it low the 2A03 could have issues.

The board is on it's way to me as of this morning.
I'll post the fix(es) here when I find the problem(s).
