I once bought a chinese "Subor" Famicom clone with keyboard and various carts. The console looks a bit like a black Megadrive/Genesis and the keyboard is white with alternate chinese characters everywhere in addition to the QWERTY.
Problem is, I tried to plug it in once using a different AC adapter and it fried. In fact I later managed to officially ruin the power board inside by desoldering components (please don't ask me why).
On to my question: would it be worth it to repair it? I realize that's a very subjective question, I'm still asking to hear opinions.
I assume the power board just supplies DC to the main board and that it should be *fairly* simple to fix for a hw guy.
