I am trying to get a separate output on my NES for the expansion audio emulated by PowerPak.
I have found information on how to route expansion audio into the main NES audio mix - just bridging pins 3 and 9 of the expansion slot with a 47k resistor.
If I wanted to get a separate output for expansion audio, should I just solder an audio jack onto the 47k resistor off of pin 9? I figured it might be similar to what you would do on R3 and R4 for Chris Covell's old "stereo" mod. Would adding a capacitor be a good idea, as in that mod?
Also - where on the NES board should I ground any audio jack? I seem to have messed this up a number of times, along with many boards, so I figured I would admit how clueless I am in this regard and ask for help.
Thanks guys!
edit: changed some incorrect data I had presented
