I was interested in the FC Mobile II, and wanted to know if anyone has tested it with the Power Pak?
thanks!
I wouldn't expect it to work. Apparently, not a single clone so far has been confirmed to work with the PowerPak (I tried with 2 clones myself). But if anyone can try, please do.
My cousin got one of these and tested my PowerPak - It doesn't work
I'm interested in its compatibility in general... Does this use the same old NAOC with the typical problems does it contain a newer generation chip? If this thing actually has a NAOC that isn't crap, I think it would be the first clone I might actually buy. The price is pretty nice for what you get IMHO.
What exactly does the PowerPak do that screws up on Famiclones?
what happens when a powerpak is used on a clone?
anything thing? garbled gfx music?
And what really causes it to mess up on a rgb nes?.
I know what chip to replace but why?

On my tests I just got a blank screen. I don't remember what color it was, but it was just a blank screen and nothing else. No splash screen, no menu, no nothing.
could be running minus video, try to blindly navigate to game from the list.
may hear something if it starts.
could be a clue to how incompatible it is.

Is there any NOAC that isn't crap? I'm pretty sure they're all crap.

I share your opinion. I don't know why anyone would want to by one if an actual NES was also an option. Of course handhelds are exceptions, as there is no official handheld NES.
However, so many people seem to own PSPs and DSs these days, and apparently you can use NES emulators on those. I don't know how good the emulation is, but it couldn't be much worse than a clone.
I've done the whole PSP thing and I just (me personally) don't really care much about emulation. I used to have a Tristar (Also known as the Super
for Super Nintendo/Super Famicom that lets you play NES and famicom cartridges on a SNES/SFC, and the PowerPack DID work work with that. That
I believe is a NOAC device.
