A good eprom programmer?
by on (#43749)
I have been looking at this, since I wanna do some NES protos and the Star Ocean english patched version on my donor japanese cart:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0084601991

any comments as to the quality and reliability of this unit? Perhaps something better someone reccomends? Thanks!

I have never owned a Willem, but try to stay away from parallel port devices now. Too many driver problems every time Windows changes access. Willem is big enough they may avoid those.

The one I have is horridly translated software but good hardware that hasn't failed after thousands of chips: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0311000915 You may be able to find it cheaper from other sellers, that just came up first.

good suggestion, but 27c322 is not listed in the compatibility chart (which is the chip I need for the Star Ocean english patched game - as well as Neo Geo MVS unibios)
