Is there anyone who recognizes this weirdness I've discovered about the Four Score adapters I own? (I have two of them now since I erroneously thought my old one had broken and bought myself another one)
I own no less than 8 NES controllers, and out of these, no more than 3 will work with a Four Score adapter. What gives?
That's odd...
I have about 7 controllers and a four score. I'll test this today.
it's quite possible that some of your controllers have a bad IC chip.
I once builded a NES to PC gameport adapter and one of my
4 controllers didn't worked with it, i replaced the IC chip and it worked fine.
My adapter used CD4017 to emulate P/S line, 4000 series cannot produce
more current than 1mA, but in real NES the P/S line output current is in fact
larger.
If i remember correctly, NES four score has built in autofire options,
so it might be that the exhausted IC is overloading the your four player device.
