Hey team,
A recent NES repairer and my first post here.
I have been collecting NES's on New Zealand's version of eBay and fixing them up. All of them have been power or cart slot related so far. I have got to one that is not outputting any video at all. I have tried pulling signal from Pin21 of the PPU as well. The biggest thing I seem to notice is that the PPU gets really hot. Is it likely that it is dead? Is there a sure fire way to confirm that it is indeed the PPU or could another component be causing it to get that hot.
Any point in the right direction would really be helpful.
Cheers
