Famicom RF adapter

Okay, after 5 months of waiting (eventually, I just figured I was robbed,) I finally recieved my original Famicom. I was so happy, I opened it, hooked it up, put a game in, turned it on. There's still fuzz on the TV, and I was thinking just because the RF is really old and incredibly bad. But then I got to thinking, my SFC also didn't work with a US RF adapter, but it didn't come with a japanese RF. Is there a difference? Is this RF only compatible with japanese TVs or something? I mean, I don't see any reason why it should be, but I really wonder. Because the SFC and FC have an option for switching between channel 1 and 2, as apposed to 3 and 4. The SFC works with AV, so I don't see any reason why it should be the TV, but I have to wonder...

Does anybody know what this problem is?

EDIT: Oh, sorry. There was nothing BUT Fuzz, not just the game with fuzz. Just thought I'd make that clear ;).

I've heard before that it works on channel 95. Try that.

Hey! Thanks! It works okay now. I need to replace my universal nintendo RF adapters, because they all broke, and suck. But thanks!

Channels are numbered differently in United States and Japanese video broadcast systems due to different radio communication regulations.

Wikipedia:Television channel frequencies says Japan puts channel 1 on 91.25 MHz and channel 2 on 97.25 MHz. These fall in the rawther gap between channels 6 and 7 in American TV. Jneuhaus:Cable TV Channel Frequencies claims that US standard cable channel 95 is indeed the same frequency as Japanese channel 1.
