I am having trouble with my nes that has the hi-def kit on it. The hdmi output is working fine. Nothing wrong whatsoever. The caps have been replaced also. However, there is something wrong with both the rf and composite outputs and is an identical problem. BTW this is a front loader.
The correct technique has been applied to the board to make the native output work as far as I can tell. Voultar (Modder) installed it. Basically the colors of a game are screwed up in 1 of 2 ways depending on a reset and always with no game sound and a hum or a buzz. Like i said, the hdmi output is normal as can be and nice looking with sound and all. That makes me think the cpu and ppu are fine but im not expert and i have no real way to test it.
I did attempt to test the rectifier on the rf modulator and "it seems fine" but im also no pro at testing them, had to look it up on youtube. The reason I even checked it was i read on a site that sells them that if there is a problem with the rectifier it can cause a loud hum and possibly video problems but my problem is with both native outputs not just one but I don't know if that makes a difference.
Here are two pictures of what I'm seeing.

Now just imagine that with a humming.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am lost as hell.
The black smudging on the lettering of the title screen is almost like a shadowy artifact that i cannot really describe. It kind of morphs around if you play the game. Its strange and it flows around almost like liquid or something.
Voultar says it was like this before (I think) he installed the kit. It did not look like this when it left but it did seem to have some slight strangeness to its behavior before I sent it but It wasnt anything alarming at that time. So the only thing I can figure is being mailed and banging around in transit or modding it caused an already failing component to get worse.
