This topic is for mostly or fully bare printed circuit boards, and historical records. BootGod's database is nice but isn't very convenient when taking contributions, plus don't want to wipe out the bandwidth budget, hehe. I've had one contributor so far, and am going through identifying the boards. Will add when done.
I promise to get mine desoldered and scanned, soon. I will try to name them Mapper_Game name_Description_Front/Back like 'MMC3_SMB3_Battery mod_Front.jpeg' so as to make searching for a specific board type easier. 'MMC3_NES-TSROM-07_Battery mod_Front.jpeg' might be another convention. If we use the metadata feature of JPEG and PNG, we can have such tags inside the image files themselves. My goal is to make a collection that is easy to search by keyword. In Windows, there is 'search' (Win-F), in Debian and DOS I was using command-line tools for this. Support for hidden metadata is not so universal, it seems. Having mapper chip name at beginning is essential to make this collection remotely sane to search through. I'm sure we'll figure something out.
Few requests:
1) Please make notes of who took the photos. I don't want anyone getting accused of plagiarism.
2) Please label your images so they're easy to sort. I can do the labeling if needed.
3) If you have a seedbox, host these torrents, please.
I'll add magnet links to OP so they don't vanish off the Internet. I can do all the renaming and organizing by mapper chip and board/game name if needed. Thanks for all contributions!
