Hey all. So, since I started this whole thing, ive become pretty interested in electrical engineering and such. Doing a lot of reading from a complete beginner to moderate beginner.
My question is about the boards. Im trying to figure out why there are resistors and capacitors on the power planes of the carts. I understand why for battery backed saves but not for the boards themselves.
There usually is a 6.6V 22uF capacitor and a couple of resistors (i think one was 182 ohms). I used an NROM just to check, and the chips need 5V which comes from pin 36. But why the resistors and capacitors? Also on NROM-02 theres only just one resistor, no capacitor. Can you even develop a board without any components?
Any info to point me in the right direction to understand why or the reasoning would help a lot.
