New NES/SID release
by on (#33957)
I've just released a cd of 7 tracks made using a combination Famitracker, midiNES, goattracker, 909 and midiboxSID fed through distortion pedals and topped by me screeching.

Each track uses only one chip, except TEAM DEAD, which combines the forces of SID and 2A03 for a total meltdown! NSF and SID modules for the tracked tunes will be available soon, as well!

If you are interested in this music, please also check out
Yatagarasu, a completely midiNES/bass guitar based chiptune massacre.

Hey, have you checked out http://www.8bitcollective.com ? They have a very active forum for gigs / travel, etc.

Good luck and I'll check out your tunes soon!

Thanks No Carrier!!
Yeah, I've had a thread on there for like a month. No one seems interested, but I think a bump from you might help get things rolling :)

I was going to release an NSF cart on this tour, but I couldn't get the basic NSF playback done >_< Next time...

This time I'll just be doing the whole "switch Eproms between songs" thing.

I'm pretty sure I can help you with the NSF cart thing. I'm pretty busy now, but I might have time before you leave for tour. Hit me up via e-mail.

Also, I'll bump it on 8bc.

I have to finish recording a new cdr before tour - so I think the NSF cart will be tackled after. But if you're still interested in late September, if we can create open source NESASM (or other non-depricated compiler) playback code with a track select routine, it would totally juice up the global NES scene!

Bumping my 8bc thread would really help, I know there are people in the cities I want to play who can help me, I'm just not really known at all.
My thread's right here:

Yeah, we can work on that when you get back - just promise me it won't be NESASM! I much prefer asm6 by loopy. Take a look at it if you haven't yet.

I'll check out that compiler!

Too bad you don't live out west. Maybe we can hang when I hit up the east coast next year =)
