HOWTO: Meridian Advance 1.09 and newer NSF files.
by on (#33169)
Hello,

On 20080428, I finally found a good NSF of Zelda 2... and I actually found IceHockey, because of this site. I'm very happy for that, so I'd like to give my tips on using Meridian Advance for these new NSF files.

(WinXP) If you right-click on the Meridian Advance exe, go to the compatibility tab and set it for Compatible for Windows95, Meridian Advance will play NSF files that previously crashed - for example, ugetab's redone Zelda2 in the file http://www.angelfire.com/nc/ugetab/4017_redone.zip

EDIT: You have to go to http://www.angelfire.com/nc/ugetab to download the file, direct link doesn't work.

I suspected this would work, because under linux(using Wine) Meridian Advance was able to play the ugetab's Zelda2 just fine, but crashed in WinXP.

Thanks alot,

Do they still support Meridian Advance?

No, according to this site... apparently somebody didn't keep backups. A crashed harddrive ended the project.

Proprietary code always dies in the end.
