Is Slick Productions (NSFe) Down?
by on (#21610)
When I try to access http://slick.panicus.org/nsfe.php , I get a 404, and removing the nsfe.php gives me the administrator control panel access, which is weird. Of course, I can't get in, because I don't know the password. The regular panicus.org gives me the same thing.

Side topic: It's a shame that site is the only NSFe link in town. There are oodles of NES games which could use specific track name tagging. Anybody interested in starting one here? I couldn't do the actual tagging myself, since I don't know how to code, but I'd be willing to submit info for some sets that haven't been named yet.

I have some (hopefully all, but due to stupid way of handling updates on Slick's site I can't be 100% sure) NSFe, I can upload them to rapidshare or the like.

I'm gonna be adamant here with my support for extended M3U format. NSFe simply didn't pan out (the format's been there for how long? Three years? And it's still supported only by Slick's plugin...).
Also, there's no coding knowledge required both in NSFE and extended M3U tags...

Seconded.

All these players support NSFE as well:
foo_gep (Foobar2000),
Audacious Media Player (Linux),
Audio Overload (Windows, Linux, OS X),
Game Music Box (Mac Classic/OS X),
Fox Audio Player (Linux, Windows),
Geronto.player (Amiga),
OldPlay (GP2X),
ZsnexBox (Xbox),
Game Music Emu v0.1 (PSP)

Ah, they changed their web address slightly. Thanks!

Question: Is the M3U format supported in Audio Overload and Game Music Box?

Well, but they are based on your lib AFAIK. :)

Not in GMB until the next update (who knows when), and I don't know about AO (probably not for NSF).

They play NSFE, which was the point: NSFE is supported on several players and platforms other than NotSoFatso on Windows.

Well, it's your fault for making your library easily portable. :P
