NES music commissions work
by on (#240964)
Hello there! My name is xWhyohwhyx. I'm rather new to these here forums, but I thought I would put myself out there and offer music commissions. I'm just a student, but I've been doing music for 7 years, and I've been doing chiptune compositions for just over a year. I can do:

- Soundtracks for games
- Individual songs
- Sound Effects

I can try and do songs in various different styles, such as:

(Early Nintendo style (Super Mario Bros, Gryomite, The Legend of Zelda, etc)

Late Nintendo style (Super Mario Bros 3, Wario's Woods, Kirby's Adventure)

Sunsoft style (Festers Quest, Batman, Mr Gimmick)

Follin style (Silver Surfer, Solstice, Wolverine)

Capcom style: (Mega Man 1 - 6, Ghosts and Goblins, Ducktales)

Nastume style: (Power Blade 1 + 2, Blue Shadow, Shatterhand)

PRICES

Prices are currently negotiable, but my default rate is typically $30 per minute of completed music. It may be more or it may be less, depending on these factors:

- Style chosen.
- Time taken to complete music.
- No. of layers/complexity.
- Any additional sound effects.

I do accept trades. I do not accept requests. For more info or inquiries, you can shoot me a message, or contact me at my email: gusheyc@gmail.com

honestly you should probably charge more, particularly if your compositions are going to end up in a commercial project.

just my opinion. i recently wrote 25 minutes of NES music and $20 a minute would probably work out to less than minimum wage for the amount of time i spent. granted you probably work faster than i do, but still.

You think so? I'm rather new to musical commissions altogether, so I wasn't terribly sure what to charge. What do you think would be more suitable?
