Need Some Help.
by on (#12098)
Hello everyone,

I am brand new to these forums and brand new to Nerd Tracker 2.
I have been a big fan of 8-bit music and chiptunes for quite a while.
But Nerd Tracker 2 is very confusing and if someone could just give me a hand and walk me through it.

thanks.

If you're going to use NT2, I suggest really learning the keystrokes and how to get around the program. It's a bit confusing at first, but once you know your way through it, it's a really fun program to use. Also, be sure to grab the file nedplay.zip to make your nsf files, as the tool NED2NSF doesn't support samples.

EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention that if you're using Windows, you'll want to turn off Sticky Keys. To do this in WinXP:

Control Panel -> Accessibility Options. Click "Settings" in the Sticky Keys area then uncheck "Use Shortcut." This way you won't get the annoying dialog about turning Sticky Keys on.

Also, check 2a03.org.
