Hello, after 3 months of work I've written the successor to the Mega Man 3 cover playthrough I made last year - this time it's a cover of Mega Man 1. You can find the youtube link
here and the bandcamp link for download
here.
Nice. I listened through the whole thing twice on YouTube. Would be cool to have these remakes on tomaitheous' PC-Engine Super CD-ROM port of Mega Man.
I have a version of MM1 that has hook routines to play CDDA tracks intead of the PSG tracks. I'm gonna try these out for that build
Edit: Ohh, they're for sale. Never mind.

it's "pay what you want" so you can put zero
I was thinking more along the lines of making a mm1+your covers, type of distro. That's why I said nevermind. Unless you're ok with distributing them for free like that? I figured not because they were on bandcamp (love that site and idea). You mentioned that you use additional audio cips for these remakes; only vrc6? Not sure if I have enough cpu resource to emulate that chip extension, if I did a PSG only implementation (no CDDA) of your tracks (famitracker?). I have two free PCE channels and one free ADPCM channel (with dedicated 64k of ram), though I don't emulate DPCM for the NES so I would assume ADPCM would be used for that. And of course, you wanted to do such a project.
Good effort, such a shame that this will only ever amount to a video. Such a shame that no one will ever learn how to efficiently make VRC6 music and ROMhack MM1 to use VRC6.
