Hey guys,

New here, going through the nerdy nights tutorials right now and I'm super excited. Anyway..

While browsing around the forum I ran into this comment from "Memblers"

Also with the way Nintendo was selective and strict about licensing, I wouldn't be surprised if any lack of info in english was intentional. Hell, they posted their help wanted ad inside the Donkey Kong arcade ROM. Maybe they figured that reverse-engineers are the best kind of engineers, heh.

Is this true?! I've been searching all over (google) and can't find any more information.

He was implying to get people to program for the NES, The best people would be the ones reverse-engineering it and wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo posted a ad in their games to attract programmers, I doubt one exists at all in any game.

Crap, don't have the donkey kong arcade ROM on this PC, I'll check it out later.

From what I heard they actually did put it in the rom. Open it in a hex editor and you should see it.

I guess it wasn't Nintendo's ad exactly, but here's a link I found with more info:

God, I can relate to that. Doing it (the scrolling routine) myself for what I hope is the last time.
