Hey all. I've been seriously considering switching my webserver/email-server/blog/router/CVS-server/bugzilla/etc/etc machine from gentoo to ubuntu.
I started learning linux on gentoo a loooooooong time ago. And talk about diving headfirst into linux - dang! But I did learn a ton...but now I'm just tired of having to compile everything when I want to upgrade the system and also having to deal with all the dependency issues of portage (i.e. gentoo's package manager). I think it would be nice to have a much more user-friendly upgrade and package install process from this point forward. Gentoo is just too much of a maintenance hassle and manual/tedious labor process as far as I'm concerned.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Just curious.
pz!
