This is a good question. I've ripped samples out of a lot of games, and The Immortal is the only one I'm aware of.

I think punch out / pro wrestling may have some sort of cheering sample that's continuous, although I think that's a bit different that what you had in mind (very short samples looped to produce a musical voice).

I seem to remember tracing through the Action 52 intro and finding the audio to be software-decoded, much like most of the samples in Blades of Steel.

I think Top Gun had a looped sample for the engine noise.
