so, I thought my R.C. Pro Am cart was finally clean enough to never garble up, but apparently not.
However, I notice it only garbles up sometimes. Like whenever there's a big nametable change, like a transition between the "Track" screen and the racing screen. Whenever there's a big change like that, presumably there's some bankswitching going on...
So that made me wonder, I wonder if my cart has a faulty mapper? Or possibly, faulty CHR ROM?
Is there anyone out there knowledgeable enough about electronics, who has investigated what can go wrong with a cart other than dirty contacts?
I'll probably end up just finding another, working cart out there for collectings' sake, but I thought it might be interesting to investigate the problem anyway.
