Eh, this topic is kinda funny to me, as I might be considered as a "to-purge member" since I did 1 post then... vanishing in the dark.
But I actually lurk around and spy new posts since few months ( I think 2 months) and quietly read any programming related topic. I'm studying electronic at college and we learn to program both PC and MCUs (the so used PIC microcontroller), but the teaching lacks assembly which I find IMO essential in order to be a good programmer. The 6502 assembly is neat and sweet and looks promissing for learning purposes, which is simple but powerful and complete. Over all, the NES always facined me.
A day I'll make a 2A03 soundcard (well probably a tweaked NES card plugged inte the NES with serial or USB interface to the computer) for playing back NSFs or just send MIDI messages and I'd want to do a NES game (in a cartridge) for my girlfriend.
Anyway, this site is super. Hello world !
