I polished the connectors, I melted the cartridge open (which is pretty painstaking for someone who collects vintage videogames), I even tried quickly holding an open flame under the connectors & polishing them again! Still the same crap: Non-blinking blueish-green screen of death.
This is a TROM cart, w/ 2 caps & 2 resistors. Would you guys think it could be one of them? (I don't have the equipment to test them at the moment...)
Or you can simply buy another cart on eBay.
Logically the only replacable componants are the resistors&caps, and the SRAM too. I don't think the MMC3, ROMs or CIC will break down easily anyway. You can try replace the capacitor, as they often dryes out leading problem (here I guess the problem would be no decoupling on the main power voltage). The resistors are quite likely not breaking down unless they're burned black or something. You could try replace the SRAM, but changes that it will change anything are low.
PS : By the way if you would switch to a non-animated avatar I guess everyone would be happy. Not really a request, just a personal suggetion...
