Carnival is coming, and for those who absolutely hate it, like myself, there might still be hope after all:

I don't like carnaval either. I thought about going there last year but I didn't leave my room due to that infernal heat that was outside.
The only thing I like in the carnival is the free time I can spend at home!
And I use it mostly with the kids, watching cartoons or playing video games.
What about you guys?
That party seems great!!
I have facebook blocked, what's on the video?
A brass marching band playing a medley of songs from SMB3, carrying placards of various characters, many dressesd up specifically and Mario and Luigi but also as other characters.
Many kinds of nerds in Brazil don't enjoy the songs that are typically played during Carnival, so every once in a while there are these little bands playing songs from video games, anime, tokusatsu and the like. I've never joined one of these Carnival blocks myself, but I kinda felt like it sometimes.
I was part of one when I was a teenager.
At first it was cool to stay sober and watch the "disventures" of the drunks, usually dancing with very nice girls.
But after a while it was just a madder of stop fights, don't let the drunks get road killed and help who are really bad to arrive home or an hospital.
So the "fun" got away and I got away of it.
I realized I was getting a lot more fun by trying to learn something interesting.
After I became an adult, the 3 days (or 5 if you count saturday and sunday) of carnival had become a little "vacation" when I sleep a lot and try to fix something that's not working properly at home.
My father likes to watch the parades at TV. Specially the Rio de Janeiro ones, wich are beautiful.
I never went to one, but I guess as a tourist, that would be something you want to see once and that's it. I'm not a fan of going to those things anyway but that would be the only reason to go.
But with the kind of "fun" Fisher was explaining... Maybe it's better not to go anyway
