I know this is a bit odd, but just look what there is today at the GameFaqs series contest ?
Final Fantasy vs Megaman, am I the only one to think this is the worst choise that can be imposed ?
Sorry I fell a bit acting just like donknotts or nonsensedubois, but that contest is so crual I have to share it with someone.
heh. just wait until next poll:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2447
seems like it's going to be
FF vs SF / RE
that's some strange poll o_Ô
Yes, but Final Fantasy is by far the best RPG series, and Megaman is the best platformer series, in my opinion.
I really love both series, and it is horrible to have that contest, because you cannot compare RPGs and Platformers.
Street Fighter is just a fighting game, so it is smaller and feature less things, while Resident Evil is just an horror game, and this really isn't my department at all. So I just hope FF will win all following contest. Just a shame for my beloved Megaman, heh.
I thought it was kinda dumb that they had "Dragon Quest" on there instead of "Dragon Warrior". That'd be like putting Megaman on there as Rockman.

No, it'd be as if
Mega Man Powered Up were released worldwide under the name
Rockman (which didn't happen), or if Princess Toadstool were to become Peach worldwide (which did happen as of
Super Mario 64).
Dairy Queen VIII is the first
Dragon Quest game not to be retitled as
Dragon Warrior in North America.
Dr. Robotnik eventualy became "Eggman" in the U.S. too, didn't he?
Memblers : Maybe they should have put Dragon Warrior, so that all old DW fans would vote for it instead of Super-Smash Bross ?
Anyway, the last Dragon Warrior game, Dragon Quest VIII - Journey of the Cursed King, was released as Dragon Quest worldwide.
I think most DQ/DW players knows that both names are equivalent, aside of censure-related issues. But again, I'm usure if DQ8 on the PS2 is much less censured than DW1-4 on the NES.

Was he EGGMAN first in the US???
yes he eggman was first in the us. I don't know why they changed his name Dr. robotnic was much more serious and better.
P.s. isn't "Eggman" a reference to to Beatles song "I am the walrus"?
?! AFAIK it was Dr. Robotnick in the US until Sonic Adventure
It was Dr. Robotnik first. Dr. Ivo Robotnik actually. I have cartridges and manuals that tell me so ;)
