Hi. On SNESamp and perhaps some other music players, there is an option for "Analog simulation" which is meant to represent a bass heavy, more muffled sound like some people heard back in the day. Most people recommend that it be taken off for an accurate sound. In-fact, Game Emu Player which is probably the most accurate player out there does not have an option for it. My question is about an official SNES soundtrack I heard with a similar hiss. It's the Final Fantasy IV "Original Sound Version" by Nobuo Uematsu released in 1991. All of the songs have a hiss similar to the analog option. Also, the bass is heavier than the SNES version. Here is an example:

It's even more audible on the remastered version as well. Anyway, my question is why does the soundtrack sound like this if the official SNES sound had no hiss? When the analog option is chosen on SNESamp, FFIV sounds much more like the OST than without it. It confuses me on which option is more accurate so I was wondering if anyone had some input to educate me more on the subject.
Bonus Question: It's been a very long time since I had an SNES and when I did I used a RF Switch resulting in a mono sound. I never used the AV cables and don't remember what they sounded like. Does the AV cable provide any hiss at all or is it dead silent? Thanks.
