I know that arpeggios were used prominently in C64 games, so if you want to get a C64-like feel in an NES game, you should use them.
But other than the arpeggios, the rest of the sound mostly doesn't sound very C64-like. For example, the only C64-likeness in "Asterix" are the arpeggios. Everything else doesn't remind me of the C64 at all.
So, my question: Do you know of any NES soundtracks that you would say sound C64-like, but where it's not only the arpeggios that make it like this? Where the rest of the song also has a very C64-like feel? (Or maybe it is even a song that doesn't use arpeggios at all, but where the instruments sound like the non-arpeggio parts of a C64.)
