Quote:
Employability in the capitalist sense is:
Man there is so many things wrong with capitalism and companies I don't even know where to start. My personal opinion is that capitalism today is in a shape as bad as communism was in the 80s, but it seems nobody wants or dares to say it loudly. However I'd rather not say my opinion too openly, because besides I'm anonymous you never know they might figure out that I'm I and that would reduces my chances of getting another job even further.
I don't know about other countries but in Switzerland in order to be employable you need to :
- Be exactly between 29 and 33 years old, otherwise you're too young and too old respectively
- Have at least 30 years of experience
- Need knownledge in the
exact field your company is working
- Need to not have worked for company's direct concurrent
- You are so smart that you do nothing yourself and just manages other people that do it for you
- You are a total incompetent but nobody notices because of the above
- Not have any family nor hobbies, because that's a waste of time that will get in the way of extra hours
- You should not be swiss, because you are not international enough
- You should have the willing to travel to show that you are very international and scold people in other countries to tell them they are doing it all wrong and that switzerland is so superior
- You *must* speak perfect french
and german, but the job offer ares *always* in english (why don't they redige them in french or german then ? dumb***)
- You must fit perfectly to the company's philosophy, although 98% of companies around have the exact same philosophy, and it's a pretty lame one
Notice how many of the above is contradictory. Also, I know I exaggerate slightly, but only a tad.
