Question: What on God's green earth is Strangulation Records?

by on (#37)
Haha, it's a very small record label my friend Andy and I started years ago. We mostly just gave out tapes and CDs of our strange music, never sold anything.

There's an old and ultra-obscure page here with some related links:

Could some one explain that to me.. xx(

Well, one of these days I've been wanting to make a big collection of MP3s/XMs of the stuff that I could share on emule. I doubt very many people would want to listen to it though, but I'll probably do it anyways eventually.

There's no way to explain, you'd just have to hear it. There's a little but of stuff on the old site: http://www.parodius.com/~memblers/music.htm

In other news, Strangulation Games is being merged with Membler Industries (heheh, makes it sound all corporate) and I'll be making a website for it.. sometime. Just soo much stuff going on lately, it's amazing I get anything done, heheh.

Memblers > I'm not sure that mr. Guest is a person.. he has replied in like 3 other threads with other weird questions.. almoast like it some spam-bot.. but the only strange thing is that there is no advertising.. or maybe he is a person but just don't know what to write ;)

anyway.. so when are we going to see next fantastic Strangulation Game? :)
are you working on any of those that are listed as uncomplete?

I can finish Roadkill, haven't worked on it for a while though (the date stamp on the source dates from 2000 to 2004, woah). It's pretty much the only one that can be salvaged from the time while I was learning how to program. Since it'd been rewritten a bunch of times, heh.

either there are indeed two 'Strangulation Records' or i knew Memblers from a long time ago when he used a different alias.

It's not a registered name, so there could be any number of them. I've used the Dr. John Memblers alias since at least '95. But there's a whole list of participants on the old Dropoff 7 website.
