No progress thread? Blame Famicompo "DARK CREDO"

Perhaps one reason the 2011 and 2014 compos didn't get a lot of entry progress threads the way the 2016 and 2017 compos did is that people were still too much in the mindset of the "DARK CREDO" of Famicompo, which requires entrants to keep their entries secret until judging completes.

Or am I completely off base?
