Mapper fill-in on the wiki
by on (#100781)
Rainwarrior, Lidnariq, and I have started a drive to improve the wiki's coverage of more obscure mappers. If you have any information about mappers whose numbers in this grid are red or whose pages are stub pages, please let us know about it by either creating a wiki account or replying to this topic.

I got a tip from bunnyboy that it might be a good idea to raid the Nestopia and Nintendulator source trees for info on what mappers exist.

Yes. That's how I filled in mapper 14. I might get around to a few more once I get my current project out of the way.

Looked through some sources and found a few more:

Looking at Nestopia:

117: FUTUREMEDIA
Mapper 117. Fixes "La Bi Xiao Xin". Info from tpu.
Mapper 117, IRQ counter. Fixes "San Guo Zhi 4 - Chi Bi Feng Yun".

155: code: chips.Add(L"MMC1A");
That's it, I guess if you *NEED* MMC1A behavior?

202: "BMC 150-IN-1"

204: "BMC 64-IN-1"

238: Couldn't find anything, but it's listed in the readme...

Nintendulator:
59: "T3H53"
??? Maybe it's some 53 multicart???

125: "Monty on the Run (FDS hack)"

127: "Double Dragon pirate"

Here's a few that I saw in FCEUX's source: ([GN] means an instance of the same mapper is also in GoodNES3.1.4. I've only changed the image in the mapper table that existed in both)

  • 253 (San Guo Zhi 4) [GN]
  • 238 ("UNL6035052")
  • 220 (Onebus) [GN]
  • 181 (a different version of 185's CNROM copy protection?)
  • ??169??? was commented out
  • 160 ("SA009", another Sachen mapper)
  • 35 ("UNLSC 127", "Wario Land 2")
