I've released an update to my NES APU sound emulation library. The main thing I've done is make it easier to use, including adding an APU with a simplified interface. I changed the demo to optionally use SDL sound, and included a sound queue class that presents SDL sound as a buffer that can be written to (to avoid multithreading issues). Other features include low processor usage, non-linear sound, and Namco 106 and Konami VRC6 sound chip emulators.
Nes_Snd_Emu 0.1.7
I know that when writing an emulator, getting CPU and PPU emulation working takes a while, so it's nice to have already-working sound to use until you get around to writing your own APU. I'd like to make it even easier to use for the first time, so post any feedback you have.
Nemulator (by James S.) is a NES emulator that uses Nes_Snd_Emu with DirectSound and comes with source code.
