I could find little tech info about this chip, and what I did find was a bit off so here you go:

The chip is probably capable of more, as there is a lot of unused pins, but AFAIK this is the only game that uses it.
Register $8000-$BFFF
D0-D3 selects 16K PRG bank at $C000
D7 controls mirroring (0 = horz, 1 = vert)
NO bus conflicts
$8000-$BFFF is fixed to last 16K bank
