Waixing's downloadable NES games (WXN) fall into several types:
Type 2 can easily be emulated by adding the protection emulation to Mapper 176 (to be added to the wiki entry). Type 3 requires assigning a new mapper or submapper number however, unless there is an already-assigned mapper that I am not aware of that already implements the MMC3 register numbers changed in the manner described.
- Normal NROM, MMC3 or Mapper 164/224 games that work with no problems in emulators;
- Waixing RPG games, mapper 176 games that use a protection mechanism not fully emulated that involves playing around with WRAM. Several of these are inexplicably set in GoodNES 3.23b to Mapper 30, which is UNROM-512.;
- Attacking, Dark Castle, Galaxy Killer, Little Hacker, Monkey King, Monster Brother, Ping-Pong (Chinese), Tower of Doom, Volleyball: MMC3 games simply with the MMC3 register numbers changed from 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 to 5,4,3,2,1,0,6,7;
- Five Kids: Normal MMC3 game that uses VT02-style bankswitching in its IRQ handler.
- VT03 games.
