PPU reset tests??

I remember of a couple of test ROMs for PPU reset and "warming time". In short words, a time of one frame (?) that certain PPU writes are ignored.

Any help?

I can't be much help myself, as my NES boots to the PowerPak menu instead of the selected ROM. I'd say search the forum and wiki for PPU power-up state.
