Would this work as is? if not, would it work with some modification?
I have TSROM games for donors, and I have some roms that I'm pretty sure do not use ram, and I also need some ram chips to try out FF3 repros. Can I cover all my bases with what I have?
This seems like something someone could answer a lot faster than I could figure out on my own, or without wrecking a bunch of hardware.
Some photos here should be very helpful
I'm asking about any TSROM game. I have a couple Bo Jacksons to sacrifice, so here's a reference for that.

Can I take that 6264 off the Bo Jackson board and still use it as a donor for a game that doesn't use that ram space?

I'm fairly sure you can.

Why not?
I don't know. A lot of the hardware stuff goes over my head, so I'm doing my best to stumble through it. This is a situation where "I don't know what I don't know", so I don't want to make assumptions based on my incomplete understanding of how these things work.

google JEDEC than. It will simplify things quite a lot
