gbasm and tniASM
by on (#62521)
Hi all,

Anyone used either of these, especially latter ? I would be interested to see some example of tniASM for GB, so far I haven't found a single source code, probably quite common GBZ80 but I'm still quite noob with ASM and would like to see some examples of these.

Thanks for advance !

Is there any particular reason why you need to use triasm or gbasm? Especially when you've already got wla-dx and rgbasm which both have example code available for the GB.

There's probably some sort of documentation included with the assemblers that you can gather the syntax from if you really, really want to use them. If there's not even any documentation then they're a complete waste of time.

No, not any particular reason, I just try to find a simple one or two file assembler for GB, I'm working only with the sound, just need an assembler, a correct header (for ROM etc., whatever is needed), a delay and random (0-255) functions. Any assembler works for me, but I'm especially trying to find a simple easily transported one or two file system. I'm checking RGBDS, it looks good, not sure about the header with it, I get sound out easily without any other than a SECTION definition and a bunch of LD's, still I'm something else is needed, but what, I don't know (yet).
