Hello all,
I run a windows 7 - 64bit computer and I'm only able to run a select few of the programs I find for NES graphics editing. I was wondering if someone could steer me into the right direction. Currently I have a bmp file with 4 different colors in it. Although I'm sure they are not all NES compatible I assumed that when pasting them into YYCHR it would recognize it as 4 different colors. When pasting I'm seeing it past it has white and black? Is there a set of instructions out there that shows me how to use YYCHR with intentions of developing graphics for a homebrew rather than editing roms graphics?
Also to give a better background to what I'm trying to do... I'm trying to take this BPM image and have it as a background in my "game" (I'd like to make a one screen greetings card really). Is there any tutorial out there that shows how to create backgrounds for games from scratch? Load a chr and set it as the background (or however you do it)? Also keep in mind I'd like to do this in C as I'm not familiar with assembly.
Thanks,
Jake
P.S any graphics tutorials you know of that are NOT related to rom editing please send my way
