Help me choose a nice Mario/Sonic/Crash/Spyro-like NES game

I would like to play an NES homebrew game from here which is mostly like Mario, Sonic, Crash or Spyro. Action platformer, shooting enemies, stomping enemies, bumping blocks, etc..

I've seen Super Bat Puncher, Vigilante Ninja 2 and Nova the Squirrel. Is there anything more than that? And where can I get the latest versions of these 3 games?

The latest public version of Nova the Squirrel is always at https://novasquirrel.itch.io/nova-the-squirrel and that'll probably be the last version for awhile.

Um... Twin Dragons? I think it's cool, though it's only available as a cartridge release (there's a demo rom though, but unsure where to get it).

The third volume of Action 53 has a bunch of demos on it, Twin Dragons among them.
