Some sections of the wiki suck!
by on (#55622)
I was just checking the PPU registers page and it seriously lacks information. A newbie reading that will be completely lost. Seriously, look at the description of $2002: PPU status. Yup, that's all there is before the meaning of the bits is shown.

How did the section get like that? I seem to remember it had more info. We should provide better descriptions for the registers, and maybe give some more context to the "write here if you want to this" texts, explaining at what time that should be done and things like that.

I'm trying to read that page pretending I'm new to NES programming and doubt I'd understand a thing if I actually was.

Can I try to improve that section a bit, writing more newbie-friendly text?

To the best of my knowledge, the original page (from the first time I saw it, this mean maybe 2008), didn't have more information than this. All the information from the previous wiki that was there before it become unreliable was transferred completely, except for some categories that I screwed up.

Yes, you can add any content to the wiki to make it more friendlier. You are more than welcome ;)
