I currently have 3 PM's that I have tried to send, but that have just ended up in my outbox and never moved to sent messages. Does this mean the messages haven't actually been sent? I have no way of knowing if they have actually gone through or not... If they have, in fact been sent, perhaps I'm misunderstanding the difference between the outbox and the sent messages folder, can someone explain this?
Generally, they're in the outbox until the recipient reads them, then they're sent.
But I have one message stuck in my outbox, and due to a strange bug or something, the recipient gets an error when he tries to read it.

This is the first I have heard of a message in the outbox getting "stuck" where the recipient, upon reading it, gets an error of some sort. We need more information on this to track it down please. Chances are it's all related to the phpBB software upgrade.
This all happened long before the upgrade, so that has nothing to do with anything. I ended up resending it as a new message (or was it an email?), and it went through fine. So the one message sitting in my outbox is the glitch message.
Can you give me the PM number (would be the numeric after the p= HTTP GET variable in the URL)? I can take a look to see WTF. :D
Yeah, my issue was simply not understanding the outbox. They all cleared out once they had been read (evidenced by the fact that it coincided with me receiving replies to those messages). Thanks for clearing that up for me.
