How do you turn HTML on? I try and turn it on, and it just says bbcode is on, but HTML is off. I turn BBcode off. bbcode is off, html is off. I can't get HTML turned on. WHY!?
Only a board administrator can turn on HTML. Here's how to become an admin:
- Sign up for a PHP/MySQL hosting contract with a web hosting company, or sign up for a DSL service that allows home servers and then use XAMPP to install PHP and MySQL on your computer.
- Install phpBB on your web space.
- Test the phpBB installation thoroughly.
- Mention your phpBB site in passing on other boards.

Just explaining that allowing messages to be
too marked up is annoying for some, and it can also
be a security risk (I think) would be enough explanation.
