I went looking for a replacement SNES 62-pin connector part, and to my surprise, the MCM part does not seem to be a match! The systems that the part needs to match is the first and second revision SNES, i.e., the versions that use the removable pin connector. From the pics the MCM part apparently has solder pins that insert into the motherboard, while the first and second version SNES uses a pin connector that can be replaced without soldering.
Maybe I looking at the MCM part's picture incorrectly? Here is the product page.
What version of the SNES does that MCM part match? Also, the official Nintendo part uses gold plating. Any chance that the MCM replacement does the same? Is it possible to obtain OEM SNES parts from Nintendo or from an official Nintendo repair center?
