How reliable is ucon64 for converting .SFC rom files to .SWC format? I remember somebody saying that ucon64 doesn't necessarily add correct copier headers. How does ucon64 determine what to put in the copier header? Does it use the .DAT database? If so, is there a way to update that database, because it seems to be old.
uCON64 is the only tool up to date on SNES headers, whether or not uCON64 is perfectly accurate, uCON64 is the only resource you've got now. If SFC are straight binary dumps, I don't think uCON64 will have any problem with them.
AFAIK uCON64 determines what to put in the copier header by parsing the Nintendo header. If the header is wrong, you'll have to manually convert the ROM using the force switches. Most good dumps have good headers.
I do think uCON64 keeps databases but I'm not so sure it does for SNES, does it show a game's name other than what's in the Nintendo header?
uCON64 does indeed have a database for SNES, just make shure its installed.

Yeah I've got it installed. How up to date is it? Does it make use of recent data aquired by NSRT?
