Here's an aftermarket connector with little prongs for soldering:

https://console5.com/store/parts/propri ... plugs.htmlAnother method is buying a cheap AV cable off eBay ($5 shipped) and using it just for the connector. I've done this a few times in the past. Sometimes the connectors are very cheaply made and cannot be opened easily without breaking them. Some connectors from the 90's have missing pins (only contain the pins they require - ie: composite video and audio, but missing RGB, sync and S-Video pins) but all the newly manufactured ones I've come across have all the pins. So your results may vary if you use this method.

I think I'll buy this and wire it to some female RCA cable connectors. Then I won't have to gamble with the quality of the cables.
I'm sick of poor quality cables. And not just for game consoles, just across the board. A few years ago, I resolved to make my own cables whenever possible. It's definitely the way to go!
