SNES Music - Stuck/Prob with SNESMOD Lite Edition

I downloaded the following program: http://snes.mukunda.com/

SNESMOD Lite Edition. It is supposed to convert IT files to SPC files. But nothing I can do can actually run the program. If I double click the exe it quickly pops up and disappears... I actually had to do a screen capture to read what the program said. So I read the instructions, typed in 'snesmod file.it' and nothing. I have tried it on one PC running windows 8 and another running windows 7. Both don't work.

So just wondering if anyone here has gotten this to work. Apparently it does/must work, just need to know if I am missing something?

I found out about this proggie through a Youtube vid where a guy is making music for the SNES:

Making Music with SNES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qkWbSJeRj8

Making Music with SNES #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXkRl-_fGm0

Really frustrated that I cannot simply open this exe file...

Typed in "snesmod file.it" where? You're supposed to run the program from the command line (cmd.exe).

I know nothing about SNESMOD, but did you do this?...

From the folder SNESMOD is in...
File/open command prompt.
Then type 'SNESMOD filename' where filename is the name of the file.

It sounds like you just double clicked on SNESMOD.exe which wouldn't work.

And, is the file in the same folder?

Did you use the cd command to go to where the .it file was located first?

If so, then what error did you get when trying to run the program?
