Does Type II adapter have to be burned while already on ?

Does the Type II adapter chip, have to be burned while soldered to the adapter, or can you burn it normally with the programmer, and then solder it to the board?

Assuming you mean the BuyICNow DIP36-TSOP40 Type II adapter for AM29F032B-to-SNES-MaskROM conversion (details matter, if any part of that is incorrect, my answer will be useless... so in the future, try to be more specific), I believe the upper address lines were swapped on version II, which was corrected in version III... so either you can interleave the ROM file (not sure if any of the existing tools out there will support this particular interleave), or else you can program it on the board and not worry about it. I would suggest the latter, as you're not likely to get much assistance on the former.

Ahh crap, bought type II, and I do not have a way to burn while on the chip =( But type III can be burned on the programmer, and then soldered to the board and work correct? Thanks

Ok so I bought an adapter and its on its way so that I can solder it to the type II and then burn. Does anyone happen to know which jumpers I bridge before I burn? And do you bridge any afterwards? Thanks
