I'm making a development cart and I have never done the cut track method. Can someone tell me if cutting correctly?
This is a SNROM board, I marked where I am going to cut with the black lines:

I am thinking this is correct, I think these are the 2,24, and 30 tracks that need to be cut.
[Subject Line Fairy was here]
Those are pins 2, 24, and 30.
Are you asking something more than that?
If they don't match up from a standard eprom, cut them and then wire them to the MMC1 or wherever they go.
Just double checking I am cutting the right ones.

Don't cut them at all, just bend up the eprom legs.
Some people prefer to bend pins up, other like to cut traces... it's up to you.
The thing with cutting traces is that if you actually need the signal of a trace that's been cut, you'll need to follow the trace until you find a suitable soldering spot.
Yeah, I'm not too experienced with electronics/circuitry, but I would probably avoid cutting traces. It seems too risky and like it's a pain in the ass to fix if you screw up.
Yeah, I've seen cut traces starting to peel off the board, and that's obviously not good. They can probably be glued back in this case, but I'd rather not deal with this kind of problem. I often favor lifting pins instead of cutting traces.
I personally think cutting traces is always better idea than bending pins of any chip. It does not take much for the pin to snap off on most packages. Broken trace can always be fixed, broken pin is much harder to fix and impossible on packages like what EPROMs have (unless you got something that can cut through ceramics).

It's not like you'll bent them up and down repeatedly though... I've never snapped any pin just by bending it up once. Oh well, both work fine, people are free to pick the method they prefer.
Sometimes I consider cutting traces, because I have the impression that the final result will look cleaner, but when it's time to actually do it I just chicken out and do what I'm used to. I did cut traces on my PowerPak though, in order to solder the resistors on the data lines.
I cut traces, way cleaner. Plus you can use the EPROM if you NEED to again.

I agree completely. But I can see how for a beginner that lifting pins is easier.
