Yeah, I feel real dumb asking this, but are tile layer and all those other dos exacutables written in C? and what is a good compiler for such things? I'm sorry, I am new to writing programs. The dumbness of that question is equivelent to the dumbness of the question " what does NES mean?" . Yeah, I feel pretty dumb asking that.....
Okay, well, I just started using Turbo C, and I'm actually moving along in the learning process quite speedily. I already knew some C at this point, because NESHLA codes so similiar to C, and I knew some even before that, somehow.. Any ways, does anyone recommend something else?
Many PC programms are written in C or C++ (as far I know), but, for example, Tile Molester (the "sequel" to Tile Layer Pro) was written in java, but your system (Windows, MacOsX, etc....) can't directly run java, you need another programm that's able to run all programms writen in java (I don't remember the name, consult TileMolester's doccumentation).
Yeah, NES HLA code is pretty similar to C. Actually, Biran just wanted to have the good point from the C and the good points for assembly trough this stuff. I can determine yet if he succedded or if he failed, I'm just starting to try to get familiar with NES HLA.
Tile Molester is the sequal to TLayer pro? I thought it was written by someone else, and it was of less quality. I've never used it, so I wouldn't know. I think I'm gonna download it now and see for myself.
No, SnowBro and SnowBro are the same person.
Tile Molester is pretty different from tile layer. It has much more options than TileLayer, but it has many bugs in it and also hasn't some options that TileLayer has (like the Tile Arranger).
I ought to tell memblers that the download for Tile Molester on the main page is just a corrupted , or invalid folder when I download it. Does it do the same for you?
Just search for "tile molester" in google.
