Does anyone know of cart to cart save devices for SNES or Gameboy? I recently picked up a 64Drive from Retroactive, and for 20 bucks it came with this sweet device called an "ultrasave" that allows for the transfer of saves from one N64 game to another. Now, I have a few games with saves near and dear to my heart, including Pokemon Red and Donkey Kong Country 2, and I am scared to play them because I've had them since release and know their batteries are on their last legs. I am good at replacing batteries in games, so if I could get a 2nd copy of these games, replace the batteries, and then transfer the saves, I would be ridiculously happy. Is that anything that exists?
Offhand, I don't know of a solution for the SNES, but for Game Boy games the InterAct Mega Memory Card should do the trick. It allows you to back up and restore saves from GB games. I had one "back in the day" and I know I used it successfully with all of the games in my meager collection which included Pokemon Blue.
Looks like there are a few on eBay right now.

Retrode can do that for most consoles, do check their site. No need for a second cart copy either, you'd just back up to the computer.
You can do it for SNES with the Super UFO pro 8 or the retrofreak console. With the SUP8 you can even take the save and load it directly in snes9x. Now, mind you that this cart is probably one of those that got bad rep lately due to bad components. I tested it for 30 minutes and the cartridge itself got heated from normal use. I had never seen a cart heat up like that. It should be good for backup of old saves but I wouldn't use it for extended playing sessions.
